New Britannia Lore

Richard Garriot has created for us a very special and unique place with its own history, lore and rules but not even with 9 games plus spin-offs can tell us everything there is to know about the world of New Britannia or its history. There’s a lot we don’t know but we should not be afraid to explore the possibilities that gaps in lore represent.

With that in mind, any story we want to tell should remain true to what we know about the world we’re in. Continue reading

SotA RPers Present: The Doomsayer. May 1-3

The Knights of New Britannia are seeking information regarding recent rumors of individuals instigating unrest among citizens of Novia. If you know of anyone who may be involved in such activities, please contact Knight Commander Bowen Bloodgood at first opportunity.

Commander Bloodgood will be hosting meeting in the town of Pax Lair in a few days time to assess the situations.

A certain character will be roaming Novia over the course of the weekend. Be sure to keep a sharp eye out for them. We will be meeting in Pax Lair on the afternoon of the 3rd for some good ol’ fashioned RP at around 4pm PST, 6pm Central, 7pm EST.

This event will kick off a forum campaign here at SotA RPers,

Tapatalk may have to be disabled.

It’s sad but it seems Tapatalk is causing issues with our web host.  It is very frequently sending requests to our Tapatalk plugin to such an extreme that it is reducing server performance and may need to be disabled.

I am in contact with tech support for both our host and Tapatalk to try to figure out what is going on.

Update: Apparently the issue was caused when Tapatalk updated their plugin which they say may have been corrected with their latest update.  I have also taken certain steps fine tune bot access to the domain which should help.  For now it looks like the issue is resolved.

Update: Ok issue may NOT be resolved but the problem is definitely Tapatalk.  Plugin has been updated.  Keeping an eye on it.

Update: Tapatalk is now disabled.  Sorry folks it was that or the website.  Updating the plugin did not seem to do the trick.  Tapatalk was causing abnormally high CPU usage on our webserver.  Apparently this has been a long standing issue with Tapatalk.  I will continue to try to work with their tech support if possible but for now we’ll just have to live without.
